In terms of lust, I'm not really the target of the conglomerate's voyeurism anymore, other than as a means to control, degrade, subjugate and discredit me through vicious ridicule.  I'm the conglomerate's excuse for normalizing voyeurism perpetrated against anyone who doesn't have the money to sue.  

Not much that Charlie Puth and Shawn Mendes could show each other that would give them more entertainment than the hundreds of women whom the conglomerate is watching in gym locker rooms every day.

The conglomerate has distorted reality and promoted crime for so many years that a generation of young celebrities is perfectly happy not knowing right from wrong.  

Shawn Mendes is a few years younger than Charlie Puth and more of an industry creation.  Charlie Puth was a little older before he was famous.  That's probably why he has twinges of guilt that people who spent what used to be called formative years being corrupted by the entertainment industry don't have.  

Mr. Puth also went to Berklee College of Music, so he has probably given more thought to the fact that Bostonians are being sexually assaulted by hidden, illegal cameras every day.

Charlie Puth

Are you going to tell someone who can do something about it that there are hidden, illegal cameras in bathrooms throughout the Boston area, or are you not going to tell anyone?

Either way, if this is a marriage proposal to me,  which I'm assuming it isn't since "Who Can Screw Lena" has been the conglomerate's most amusing party game since 2010, the answer's no.

I guess that as long as everything is arranged for your current ambitions to be satisfied and your home life to be untaxing, you feel that long-term thinking is unnecessary.

ESL for the entertainment industry

I thought I'd have to publish a page with a laugh-until-you-cry emoji for a title in response to that Tweet from Scooter Braun, but I don't.  Many other people, none of whom know what the entertainment industry has really done, Tweeted far more eloquent replies than what I could have thought of.

Mr. Braun isn't "misunderstood."

Mr. Braun rips people off all the time.  He rips off the children and teenagers whom he deprives of normal childhoods and adolescences.  He uses them, their talent, their innocence, their gullibility.  He turns them into hypersexualized, excruciatingly illiterate young adults who simultaneously believe and struggle to fulfill the galaxy-sized, stage-lit, cardboard avatars that he spins around them.  Then he rips off the fans who set their hopes on those avatars.  Then, he blames everyone other than himself whenever he and the industry which rewards sleazy behavior cannot disguise his greed.  

Falun Gong

I always feel bad when I walk past the people on the sidewalk at MIT who are quietly holding up signs protesting against the Chinese government's persecution of Falun Gong.

They don't seem optimistic.
