Thanks to the New York Times, which exploited the Me Too publicity to ruin a seasoned male politician's career, there are candidates like Ms. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez everywhere.

That's what she has at the beginning of Twitter.

Probably, like her, none of them know that they're being manipulated.

The New York Times doesn't really care about women or women's rights.  That's why it manipulated the public into voting for the inexperienced Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, who should now be treated like the talented rookie that she is instead of the leader of a movement.

Her opponent didn't do anything wrong and shouldn't have lost.  To be clear, he wasn't accused of misconduct; what the New York Times did was to rip off the latest incarnation of the women's movement by implying that he was outdated and disrespectful, when he wasn't those things.  The New York Times did this to sell newspaper subscriptions.

Now women who don't have the experience to run for office are running all over the country, and winning, because Women In Power is the hot media story of 2018.  When those women make colossal errors after they are elected, the same, misogynist media will not hesitate to tear them to pieces and to use them as examples of why women shouldn't be in power.

Bernie Sanders knew all about the conglomerate's agenda of human rights abuses.  He had a campaign ad that was set to the tune of "America," by Simon and Garfunkel.  "They all came to look for America."  That's the segment of the song that was used for that ad.

Who knows how many thousands of people have been criminally victimized by voyeurism during these years of its promotion by the world's power structure?

Everyone thought that Mrs. Clinton was going to win, even after the DNC emails were leaked to the public.

What's interesting about all of this is how really wrong the media was about who was going to win.

This suggests that, although the media can inspire frenzy when it chooses to, and can also suppress the knowledge of horrific scandals when it chooses to, scandals that would have had people calling for American politicians such as everyone in the Obama administration to be executed, there are a lot of people who distrust and hate the media, and whom the media does not recognize.

I don't have a grudge against the Clintons.  I try not to have a grudge against anyone.

I don't know why President Trump insists on using unkind nicknames for some of his political opponents.  I don't do that very often.  What I was thinking about over the past few days was how many previous Presidents have had extramarital affairs, and how strange it is to see young, female reporters on television talking about President Trump as if Bill Clinton hadn't had several affairs before being elected for his first term.  Both of the Clintons are intelligent people, but Mr. Clinton was a womanizer and there's no way around that.

Nobody needed to interfere in the election, so it's ironic that there were people who did.  Should there be consequences for them?  I think so.

What should those consequences be?
I don't know.  I'm biased, because Mrs. Clinton was the media darling and also would have had the entertainment industry trooping through the White House.  It would have hurt a lot of people if she had won.

It's better to have the children of illegal immigrants living in facilities that are run by the U.S. Government than for them to be trafficked or living in firetraps because their parents have to take whatever housing is around and have no protection from exploitation.

It is really dangerous to be an illegal immigrant.  Anyone and everyone can take advantage of you, because they know you won't talk to the police about it.

There are no easy choices for solving the problem of illegal immigration; not one.

I would rather be in an American jail, visited by the ACLU and whoever else is going to want to talk to me, than to be out there by myself, with kids, where I don't speak the language, can't earn money legally and am vulnerable to every predator.

I don't like it when I have to spend a night without a roof, even though I speak English and have no dependents.  I've done it.  You move from one place to another, trying not to look as if you have nowhere to be.  I have spent hours at a time in an ATM.  I have tried not to fall asleep while sitting on the sidewalk across the street from a police station, hoping that was safer in the middle of the night than other places.

The lie of the Obama legacy of human rights advances and humanitarianism shouldn't gain traction from his Vice President running for President.

I stopped saying that President Obama should resign.  I prioritized that the first black President not be tarnished to that extent.

Past that concession, no more.

Please.

The world is not pure.

It never was and it never will be.

We're not asked to be pure.  We're asked to do what we can.

Sometimes, we're asked to do what we can't, and that's sad, but purity has nothing to do with it.

In which the author indulges her tendency to give advice

President Trump, you cannot continue to expect that your critics will understand or like you if you just say the right thing a few times.  The media is making money from turning the world into a mob against you, and people are building and advancing their careers from attacking you.

You are good at negotiating.  If I'm not mistaken, Helsinki was a success in terms of you having started a dialogue and begun to build a rapport.  Considering how many people are willing to continue to do business with Russia while scolding President Putin, your willingness to talk to him as if he is the leader of a country and not an exasperating child was more honest and worthy of American ideals than Europe's greedy whining.  This is particularly true when it's taken into account that Europe has also wanted the United States to provide homes for all of the refugees displaced by Mr. Assad's unchecked aggression against his own people.  Rather than admit its own failures in preventing and stopping the destruction of Syria, Europe is also happy to follow the media by calling you a racist, as if racism has ever died in Europe.  "Take these refugees; you're the U.S., everyone knows you have plenty of money.  Look at them all, living in such terrible conditions.  EVEN they shouldn't have to live like abused animals.  Can't you help us get some of them out of here?"

Perhaps you think like a businessman.  Starting a conversation with someone in the business world does not usually work with demands or threats.  Probably most of the people who work for the media have no practical experience with negotiating.  I respect the military, and I know that its most talented people advance because they know how to talk to people, but it is also true that the function of the military is to be there when negotiations fail.  You're not being given the opportunity to succeed by the people who are offering their opinions to the media about how everything that you do is wrong.

It takes time to work out the most challenging problems and conflicts.

I might say that you ought to start thinking like a lawyer in some ways, in terms of figuring out what the other side is probably going to say, step by step, and having responses ready for all of the steps.  This does not always lead to success, but it does provide a way through other people's blustering.  It requires the ability to keep one's temper and to refuse to be provoked into saying or doing things that the other side can use against you.  I don't always manage to use this tactic; I am too miserable and angry, and I'd rather sling insults.  That doesn't work, particularly against people who already hate me.  I feel that I can be forgiven for my insults, since there is no insult that I have slung at anyone that is as horrible as being victimized by voyeurism.  I will be naked in public for the rest of my life.  The people who did this to me can cope with some insults.

We were already "in the midst of an all-out assault on human dignity," Mr. Biden.

That's part of the first page of Google results for "Joe Biden" today.

That's the address of a video that I published in 2016, talking about voyeurism in the Boston area.

I don't choose the addresses that are given to videos that are published at YouTube.
