I don't like having to do the second step, which is one of the reasons that I never want to run for public office.  I like talking to people individually, but I have always hated giving speeches.

I have tried not to have an aversion to gaining public speaking skills, because I know that they're good skills to have.  However, I will probably never actually like giving speeches to large groups.  I don't like being out in front of people.
