President Trump, I wanted to think the best of you.

I wanted to think that you'd learned from your own past mistakes.

I wanted to think that your priority was the safety and the healthy progress of U.S. citizens.

I wanted to think that the practical advancement of ideals was a goal for you, and that the only issue was disagreement about the ideals.

I wanted to think that you were guided by reason.

Since your election, I have supported you while the criminal hypocrites who lined up to partake of political power for 6 years while President Obama was in office sickeningly recast themselves as rebels speaking truth to power and ridiculed me.

I have ignored the majority of the horrible things that you have Tweeted about me, not wanting to hurry you toward a feminist epiphany.

I have trusted your judgment.  I have controlled my temper far more frequently than you have ever had cause to believe, even with you hacking my phone, my email, and the security camera at the lobby of the homeless shelter where I'm about to start my 6th homeless winter since 2011.

I have lived with your jokes about you watching me have my period, from the hidden and illegal cameras in multiple bathrooms in Massachusetts.

I have hoped, I have believed, that your good side would prevail.
