Speaking of underage male obsession with older women, the media that tried to portray French President Macron's marriage as a feminist love story is noticeably absent while Ms. Argento is being vilified.

President Macron and his wife seem happy, but he ruined her first marriage.

I never thought of them as being a feminist couple; he was the pursuer.  He brushed aside all of her previous decisions, her marriage, the presence of her children with her first husband, her initial protests.  His behavior was the epitome of male privilege, and how she responded to it is not what I would have done.
