I think I'd rather be murdered than to continue to live in degraded isolation with no privacy.

Senator Rubio voted to confirm Judge Kavanaugh.  According to the article, Saudi Arabia has been jailing women's rights' activists, among others.  It's only when a man is killed that Senator Rubio takes notice, and it seems to me that perhaps his "concern" is also resulting from the criticism of President Trump's anger toward the media.

Of course the American media has portrayed President Trump as being against the First Amendment, while mentioning nothing about all of the abuses of free speech that the American media has committed since 2010.

I'm a little tired of the Senate, I have to say.  Few of the people who work there seem to be working in spite of being surrounded by cameras rather than because of them.

It's not a nice world.  Is there a list of countries that aren't committing human rights abuses?  I doubt it; in the absence of it, I think that you have to make decisions according to degree.

All of that being said, there shouldn't be human shredders in consulates.
