I don't want to continue to argue with the entertainment industry, and yet I feel that it needs to be argued with. There are other writers who have written about the issues that the industry has, but when and where is what they have written published, who reads it, and how can everything that they write compete with the industry's audience dominance?
My arguments with this industry are awful arguments. The industry doesn't have a moral center. There is so much that's wrong that I end up writing in the midst of rage that feels futile, knowing that what I say won't be heard, won't be understood, does nothing.
I don't know whether or not I should defend my talking about the industry rather than ignoring it, to other people who read what I write. The industry influences millions of people. It influences what they think, feel and do. As trivial as the industry likes to be, its impact on the world isn't trivial.
Also, today was the first free time that I have had since moving that I wasn't too tired to leave my apartment. I went to Boston; what do you know, there were people everywhere. I walk around among regular people who have normal lives, feeling not only isolated but like a carrier of a fatal illness that I will pass on to anyone whom I try to get to know. The conglomerate's privacy invasions and bullying ruin everything.
