The American entertainment industry should recognize Germany's social and political progress. I'm sure there have been many attempts by German writers and filmmakers to address Germany's tragic legacy and close-to-a-century of contemporary life after World War II; that should be respected.
There are also stories that deserve to be told and known to more than a few people.
Retribution is an endless cycle, and it doesn't address the dynamic that turns governments and populations murderous and facilitates genocide.
