I wish that you'd Tweet things like this:
"Mr. Assad is a murderous dictator who has committed genocide against his own people for wanting their freedom."
"Mr. Assad's insistence on remaining in power has cost thousands of people their lives, ruined his country, displaced millions, and cost the international community billions of dollars."
"I don't know why the Russian government is supporting Mr. Assad, when that support has caused so much diplomatic conflict everywhere and contributed to stalling economic progress in affected areas. Nobody can do business in destroyed cities. With Russia's help, Mr. Assad has taken a modern state and returned it to the barter system."
"The war in Syria has gone on and on. Mr. Assad couldn't win against the rebels in his country by himself, and he won't be able to rebuild from the devastation by himself. It's going to cost billions to make Syria habitable, and then who's going to lead it? Him? The same unreasonable, incompetent guy who ruined it?"
"This war needs to end. Mr. Assad and his regime need to leave. There need to be real elections. Other people have the right to their freedom. That's not just an American right; it's a human right."
I usually try to discourage people from taking my writing and republishing it, but you can use all of those paragraphs word for word. I know you could say it without my having written it, but you can take it right from this blog, to save time.
There is no ambiguity about what a bad person Mr. Assad is. He is a 21st century Hitler, without the magnetism or administrative aptitude.
