Everyone who subscribes to Ms. Hirshman's really astonishing, MWUOB mental gymnastics is going to cause more sexual harassment and sexual assault. This entire fiasco isn't just going to stop people from reporting sexual misconduct; it is a green light, all systems go, blank check, call women liars, she asked for it, I can do this shit and run for President fucking disaster.
She doesn't care because she's a mean, withered-up, old bitch with enough power that she doesn't have to worry about being directly affected by the consequences of her incredibly irresponsible, hypocritical behavior, and she's not the only one.

How do I know that Ms. Hirshman is a mean, withered-up, old bitch and that this is what's driving her and others like her to betray the women's movement? Because over the last few years, as my fertility has been dwindling, I have noticed that I am much less personally worried about abortion remaining legal than I used to be or than I know I would be if I were younger and sexually active. I know, because I'm not a moron, that it is a crucial issue for women's health and equality, but I don't read a lot about it and I don't have a lot of anxiety about it as it pertains to my life.
Fortunately, I try to invest time, thought and energy into not allowing the default emotions of aging to turn me into a mean-spirited, envious, old bitch advocating against making the world a safer place for younger women.
Maybe Ms. Hirshman is gay; I don't know, and it's irrelevant. Being gay has never stopped a woman from being jealous as fuck of other women.
