Loudly or quietly, what he most needed to do was not be evasive.
My opinion is what it was yesterday. Everyone can understand why he was upset. I don't really care about his decibel levels; he's lying his tail off, and he should just withdraw and return to work at his old job or one like it while he cooperates with a real investigation of all of the allegations.
I'm not invested in his life being ruined. Nobody should want anyone's life to be ruined.
Here's a question; what about all of his "church on Sunday" talk? I don't claim to be devoutly religious; I believe in G-d because I have had a life of pain and suffering and in the midst of that have had instances when I knew that not a being in the universe cared about me other than G-d.
G-d has no favorites, including the Jews, and I know this because I had a bat mitzvah and despite how much I would have preferred it, G-d didn't transfer the memorization of the Hebrew that I had to sing for it into my brain overnight and I had to study for it so that I wouldn't sound stupid in front of everyone who was invited. Although I didn't know it at the time, that doesn't even register as part of my life of inhuman pain and suffering.
G-d doesn't stop illness, war, rape, murder, poverty, or anything else that makes people horribly unhappy. G-d doesn't save people from dying. G-d guarantees nothing to anyone.
I don't think that my idea of what G-d is and what G-d does is the G-d to whom Judge Kavanaugh swore when he was asked to swear that he was telling the truth.
G-d doesn't accept excuses. G-d doesn't care about your resume. I'm sure that G-d can forgive anyone for drinking and even for lying and even for attempted rape.
G-d can also help people through it when they decide to stop their deceptions. G-d does that.
