Some guy who isn't a multimillionaire grabbed her butt one time and he was fired. Then he sued her, and he lost, as people who aren't multimillionaires tend to do when they're in court with multimillionaires.
Was everybody not impressed with my being upset a few days ago? Why don't you try living in a homeless shelter for years at a time because people such as Taylor Swift think it's funny for you to be criminally victimized by voyeurism, and when you try to have the crime stopped, everything is turned around on you and you're evicted, because you are poor and can't hire a lawyer?
I average 5 hours of sleep per night, and have for months. There was a night this week when I had 2 hours of sleep. I have had nights of 1 hour of sleep, or no sleep.
What do you think it's like to be homeless? Do you think that all of the homeless people around you are in a good mood? Most of us probably wake up wishing we were dead, every day.
What do you think it's like to be homeless, when the people who contributed to making you homeless not only have several houses and apartments each, not only sit there and do nothing year after year while you continue to be criminally victimized, but are also lauded as human rights activists by the same media sources that have ruined your life for 8 years?
There's no catfight between me and any of the wealthy women who have ever joined in with the wealthy men who have made my life a hell. A "catfight" implies that you have equal power to the person or people with whom you're in conflict. I live under their oppression; they don't think about it that way, because they don't like to think about how much brute power their money gives them, and also because they're jealous that their hype portrays them as being brilliant and yet, even while being degraded, ludicrously slut-shamed and destitute, I am not infrequently influential.
The entertainment industry resents my saying that these people aren't intrinsically stupid but that the industry is suffering for lack of EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, yet it also resents my influence as a writer. I wasn't born knowing how to write.
I don't have a problem with Ms. Swift attempting to be socially responsible and taking interest in the world around her; it's a nice change. When I heard about her Instagram post, I thought about publishing a page saying that I was glad that she published it and hoping that other celebrities would do the same. I didn't say that, for these reasons:
-I didn't want to start a political celebrity-social-media war, particularly with President Trump.
-Knowing how corrupt and/or ignorant most of the entertainment industry is, I was leary of encouraging their involvement in politics.
A few days after her post, when she used the American Music Awards to yet again promote voyeurism and involuntary pornography, I was glad that I hadn't supported her.
What Ms. Swift wrote is nothing that someone who is an articulate high school sophomore, or someone younger than that, couldn't have written. Nobody who is benefiting from her post, and from the media attention which it received, needs to be rude to her, but there's also no reason to feed her ego about it. She did not advance to where she is in life by being a nice person, and I know, from 8 years of personal experience, that she never would have said anything if it were against the popular trend.
One post at social media; it's a baby step for someone who is horribly selfish, self-centered and cruel. It's a sad fact that the people who do most of the work for campaigns are never credited the way that she's being credited; the ones who make the phone calls, who print the signs, who send the emails, who grovel for the money, who drive or walk miles, who spend their working lives in the type of paper-stapling, photocopying, mailing, phone-answering, food-delivering, supply-buying, podium-checking tedium without which no political campaign succeeds. Not only are those people not credited the way that she's being credited, they don't leave work at night to be driven to mansion homes, nor does the work that they do during the day revolve around themselves, their clothes, their make-up, their love lives, their heartbreaks, their photo shoots, their brand name endorsements.
As far as I know, she's never had a job other than being a celebrity. She's been a multimillionaire since she was a teenager, and that's not because she is an independent voice in the entertainment industry.

I don't have millions of dollars to protect my image, the way that celebrities do, and it shows. Here are quotes from Carey Martell, one...

Although my life is really awful, I am not in the dire situation described at the previous page. Unfortunately, I'll be 46 this summer...
