It's not that they're not judgmental, self-righteous, wealthy or egotistical; they are those things.
It seems as if they're never sorry for anything. These people live their lives without remorse.
As far as they're concerned, confronting them, even gently, about their cruelty, their hypocrisy and their lack of genuine concern for other people is insulting and deserves punishment.
These aren't people who speak truth to power. They are people who want power.
