Foreign policy questions

Is the rest of this week going to suck as much as the first half of it?

Is there anything else that could go wrong, or that doesn't even have to go wrong but will because the United States will screw it up and then make it worse by defending the mistake?

People died today who did not have to die.  Thousands of people are terrified.  Lives are being upended.  Politics have now exploded so that Republicans are even fighting each other.  Democrats have suddenly remembered that there's a place called Syria, while their amnesia about the Obama administration's failure and the rest of the world's failure to prevent, stop or punish those perpetrating the Syrian Holocaust continues.

What will Thursday bring?  Can I opt out?  Do we have to go through Thursday, whatever it's going to be?
