I don't think anyone is arguing that Representative Hill didn't make a mistake. That's a separate issue from her being victimized by involuntary pornography.
The reason that she was attacked and discarded so quickly by other members of Congress is that Congress does not want to address the second issue, so it concentrated on the first one. The media, which has known about, promoted and even participated in criminally victimizing the public with voyeurism and involuntary pornography for years, was happy to oblige.
Now me, I don't have much to lose by failing to attack women who are already being attacked, particularly when they have admitted to their mistakes and have taken responsibility for them.
