There are not "math and science people" and "humanities" people. Everyone should be encouraged to do both.
If I take a math class, I know that I can earn an A if I spend a lot more time studying math than I have to spend for an A in other classes, so that's what I do. After a while, I start to understand material more quickly.
It's about spending the time to do the homework and not mistaking being frustrated with being stupid.
I know that now. I didn't know it 20 years ago. If there were a few people who tried to tell me, I didn't know how to listen.
