The author of that article and the people who published it aren't being sarcastic.

Since the Ottawa Citizen isn't being sarcastic, but has published one of the most vicious of the increasingly vicious attacks on Ms. Reade, I'll be sarcastic:
Hey, it's all the same.
-A President having a consensual affair with an "irrelevant" intern half his age, who subsequently suffered decades of ridicule, social isolation and difficulty being employed while he remained politically "relevant" enough for his wife to run for President.
-A Vice President with a known pattern of inappropriate behavior and serial lying who has repeatedly destroyed or harmed the reputations of innocent people, including men, sexually assaulting an "irrelevant" staffer over 20 years younger than he was 2 years after he attacked an "irrelevant" character witness who described a lewd, abusive pattern of sexual harassment by a man who it is now more obvious than ever was guaranteed to be confirmed to the Supreme Court, no matter what he did.
-The Democrats can count on "their" prominent women to know what to say and what not to say so that they can be "relevant."
-Me Too was a fairy tale. It was a sweet story for little girls. Real women know when to step up and take responsibility, and that's what prominent female Democrats have finally done. They are team players. They are patriots.
