Christian Cooper is not dead, nor was he ever in real danger. Maybe, if you have never been a white woman calling the police, you think that the police are on the scene as soon as you hang up the phone, ready to shoot whoever's messing with you and then put a blanket around your shoulders. That's not how it is.
Black is not the only color of tax money. All of the people whose businesses have been vandalized pay taxes.
Also, I know a lot more about being exhausted and treated like an animal than anyone who is part of the government or the media in Massachusetts wants to admit. All homeless people, everywhere, know what that feels like, even without being illegally filmed in the bathroom and otherwise persecuted for years.
