The entertainment industry

The entertainment industry should stop:

-reinforcing stereotypes

-attacking education

-glorifying violence

-glamorizing crime

-setting wealth, unchecked consumerism and obsession with appearance at the top of its value system

-defining personal empowerment as the power to push other people around and make them feel afraid

-encouraging a star system that deliberately portrays stars as being better than everyone else so that their productions and merchandise are invested with inhuman appeal to the gullible

It should:

-encourage personal responsibility and an interest in the rest of the world

That might help more people to be part of the political process from day to day and all their lives, rather than thinking of themselves as being worthless unless they are rich and famous and thinking of their lives as being boring unless a lot of other people are fascinated by them.
