The message of Jesus

Although I'm not Christian, I'm sure that the message of Jesus is not that you can sexually assault people and then sue them for talking about it.

Yesterday, when I realized that Page Mackinley wasn't a real person, I threw my phone and ran out of my apartment.  I couldn't be around the M&E industry's deception for another minute, even to try to fix any factual error that I had made.  I knew that corrections had to wait until last night or today.

I try to do what I'm supposed to do, to be a good person, to be conscientious, and so do many other people who are prominent online, including journalists.  I screw up like everyone else, but I don't live in a contextual void where fact and fiction are routinely evaluated only by how advantageous it is to use one or the other to achieve a goal.

Is there someone else out there who is confronting people whom he or she knows about sexual misconduct as consistently as I have since 2010? Add to that the indisputable fact that I haven't had to be poor all this time, that I have chosen it as my only currently viable alternative to corruption or for careers that I'm not sure that I want, and why it is that anyone is still acting as if my concerns aren't valid is a mystery.

Justin Bieber, if you don't drop the $20 million lawsuit against your accusers and stop all efforts to discredit or intimidate them, and if someone decides to investigate and that investigation leads to your arrest, I won't advocate for you not to be imprisoned.  I don't know who isn't tired of your entitled brattiness by now; nobody discerning.
