I'm not running for office, nor do I have plans to do so.  I have no official capacity in politics, and my bank account reflects it.  I don't mind being an amateur; I do mind being abused.

For a decade and counting, I have been entirely celibate.  During that time, I have been sexually harassed, slut-shamed and violated to within an inch of my life.  There's no remorse.  There's no empathy.  Nobody takes responsibility for investigating.  There's nothing other than victim-blaming and denial, day after horrifying day.

That allegations of inappropriate behavior are now being treated as if they are "a disservice" is a direct result of the failure of the media, the Democratic Party, and even the Republican Party, to fairly address Tara Reade's allegations against Vice President Biden.  It's a harbinger of a bad trend.

When President Trump was accused, even before Me Too gained prominence, it wasn't smoothed over for him.
