I read the article. I listened to the broadcast. There is one sentence about sexual and domestic violence during the pandemic.
Why don't you log into the RAINN chat room and observe what people are going through?
When you have done that, please don't chalk up sexual and domestic violence to frustration over economic problems. The entertainment industry in particular is obsessed with perpetrating violence, sexual and otherwise, and nobody can accuse those people of being underpaid.
As for the quote at the beginning from an expert saying that screens are part of what's causing people's depression, I think that's a simplistic answer. Technology is a killer or a lifesaver, depending on how it's applied.
