There are no resources for what is happening to me.

The following conversation is what happens when I look for them.

Although I haven't dated any of the people who have bullied me for a decade and counting, I had to say that I did or the advocate would have refused to talk to me.

This was my 2nd attempt today to communicate with an online support chat.  The first one also did not want to hear anything that I had to say.  I told her over and over again that there are no resources for my situation.

This is a trend that seems to have developed over the past several years.  The Boston Area Rape Crisis Center is the same; if you call or start a chat, you will not be allowed to talk about what happened to you.  The advocate will stop you and say "It can be traumatizing for victims to discuss the details of their assaults."  You literally can not tell a BARCC counselor anything about your assault.  Even if you say "It was the assault that was traumatizing; I just want to talk about it," you will be prevented from discussing it.

Try it.  Contact BARCC and try to talk about an assault, if you don't believe me.

This is a domestic violence hotline:

(The advocate then clarified that the request for my city and state was for "statistical purposes."  Since I am always happy to be a statistic, I provided that information.)

(There are a lot of things about the law that I don't know.  However, I am sure that there was nothing that this person could have told me that I didn't already know.)
