I would have called this question inflammatory and either refused to answer it or insisted that it be rephrased.

I would have taken issue with the question.  If that had led to a tense exchange with the reporter who asked it, so be it. 

That question was meant to be a light for a fuse.  

I support the Mueller investigation.  The media should respect that investigation enough to let it run its course, rather than using preliminary and crucial meetings between world leaders as triggers.
