It's a beautiful summer night in Boston, a city where it's cold for most of the year.

I am at the Pine Street Inn's shelter for homeless women, where the curfew is 7:00 p.m. every night, unless you are working at night or have other special permission to be out later.

On May 31, 2019, I started my 3rd consecutive year of homelessness since 2017.  It is my 7th year of homelessness since 2011.
