Even after the years during which everyone who knows that I'm telling the truth has demonstrated the ability to live happily with no feelings of responsibility toward the people being victimized, I can't believe it. I can't believe how quickly and thoroughly evil is normalized, as long as there is a group that feels more powerful because of it.
