I knew of the 1991 hearings but have never heard them before. I'm listening to them now.
My first thoughts about it are these:
-If he weren't black, FBI agents wouldn't have gone to his house to investigate him and the entire report would have gone nowhere.
-What he felt entitled to was to treat women any way that he wanted to when he was their boss, and he expected to have the same control over a working environment that he had over a home environment.
-What was ultimately defended was the entitlement of black men to treat female subordinates as badly as white men did.
-I didn't know that Professor Hill had only given her statement because she was asked for her opinion.
-By 1993, then-Senator Biden should have known better.
-By 1999, Justice Thomas should have known better:

Who knew that getting away with it in front of everyone isn't a surefire way to prevent it from happening again?
-By 2010, the media and the rest of the world's power structure should have known better.
-It's 2020. This is not about knowing better. It's about doing better. Does anyone think that we are?
