Has anyone investigated Pregnant Mare Rescue for animal abuse?

I'm thinking that maybe Ms. Reade suspected Ms. Hummer of slicing Charm's shoulder open and offered to adopt him, and that's why Ms. Hummer hates her so much and that's also why Ms. Reade was so desperate not to leave Mrs. Wrye's property where she could keep Charm.

That's my theory.  It's not an accusation and I can't prove it.

Now, Ms. Reade has lost her lawyer, thanks to Politico, the New York Times, and all the other media sources that have attacked her.
