What about everyone else? What are parents supposed to tell their children? What are teachers supposed to tell their students? What are college administrations supposed to do to discourage sexual misconduct at their schools? How are bosses supposed to discourage sexual misconduct in the workplace?
What about police officers who are conscientious and who want to help people? How are they supposed to discourage and investigate sexual crime and arrest perpetrators? What do you think they should do, tell the victims "I believe you and I'm not going to arrest anyone, but I want you to know that I don't blame you for reporting?"
What about the rest of the criminal justice system? How is that supposed to function?
Could we please stop the cognitive dissonance and the regression back to the time when the most a victim could hope for was not to be arrested and ostracized for reporting?
Not to mention the regression back to a time when women were discouraged from voting at all.
