He was the Vice President during a horrifying explosion of chauvinism and virulent misogyny that took over the world, whose effects are continuing to damage a lot of people every day.
Everyone who knows what started in 2010 knows that the Obama administration morally faltered in major ways that threatened to uproot society's fundamental stability. After a while, before his last years in office, I stopped saying that President Obama should resign, even though he probably should have for his complicity.
When I stopped saying that President Obama should resign, I hoped that he and others most integral to his administration would gracefully recede into the political background and spend the rest of their lives doing what they can to make amends to the world for the destruction which they allowed and in which they took part. I think that is the right thing for them to do.
During the Obama years, terrifying and entirely undemocratic ways of controlling and coercing people were treated as if they were normal and appropriate. Everything about the way that I've been treated since 2010 is totalitarian. Not only is my privacy invaded in every possible way, not only am I sexually harassed, degraded, bullied, stalked, and ridiculed, everyone whom I ever knew, and everyone with whom I have a conversation which the conglomerate witnesses, are also treated as fodder for the conglomerate's disgusting jokes. As I have said since 2010, I don't care what bad or ignorant people think of me; what concerns me is if their behavior toward me infringes on my rights and impedes my ability to live my life, which the conglomerate's behavior does. I am isolated. I am abused. The conglomerate continues to act as if the way that I am treated is what I deserve.
The Obama years were not egalitarian. They did not constitute advancement of civil rights. Not only were they totalitarian, they were brazenly elitist.
