Every American politician should be following the situation in Syria and taking action to halt that war against every modern ideal of humanity.

How can you doubt that both existing and nascent dictators are taking cues from the world's failure to stop that disaster?  

That's not even to mention that the Syrians who rebelled thought that the world would help them.  We have betrayed them; judging by the amount of time given to them by our television sets, they're not as important as ads for, among other things:

-beer

-junk food

-cleaning supplies

-cars

-cosmetics

-phones

-computers

-clothes

-toilet paper

-toothpaste

-tooth whitener

-dieting supplements
