Abortion is a power issue. You can call it whatever else you want; that's what it is. I don't think that you really think that people should have to have babies when they don't want them. I think that you're playing to political conservatives and to the part of the public that wants punitive answers for difficult questions.
If the people who have tried to hound you out of office since you were elected, while they have continued to lie by omission about the Obama years, had listened to your attempts to negotiate with them in the first years of your Presidency, I don't think that you would have felt that you had to retreat into staunch counterproductivity about social issues.
