It is embarrassing to have incurred a responsibility for influencing young celebrities because there was a year when I thought that I had no other options for a social life. Having stressful options is not having no options.
All right.
Sarcastic:
Justin Bieber. Why don't you ask Drew Barrymore for relationship advice? Someone my age who's been married and divorced 3 times is bound to have some helpful tips. I'm sure that her support for your clothing line has nothing to do with my objections to it. You know how the entertainment industry and I are such besties.
Not Sarcastic:
Hailey Bieber. A magazine is now saying that you can "help" Justin Bieber with his "depression" because you're "not dealing with" your own issues. I have often said that you're not dealing with your own issues. My ideas about your issues are not what the magazine meant, the major one being your lack of investment in creating your own identity, along with your submission to every archaic, female stereotype and your lack of investment in formal education or developing an intellectual life at all. I have talked about those things the right way and I have talked about them the wrong way. I apologize for having talked about them the wrong way.
I am so done with all of this. I don't want to be a part of your lives. You can't treat someone the way that you have treated me and have that person like you. Even if it were indisputable that you have a perfect relationship and that you ought to be married, I could not be happy for you.
