Speaker Pelosi, like almost every other American politician, has stood by and done nothing for years while voyeurism and involuntary pornography have ravaged people's lives.

I don't think the inertia of the government to prevent and stop these crimes is coincidental to the influence of the entertainment industry, the media and other powerful interests.

That's what I meant yesterday.  Maybe it was a bad joke, but I have lived LIKE A HELPLESS FUCKING ANIMAL FOR YEARS, FOR THE AMUSEMENT OF A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO LIVE AND WORK IN CALIFORNIA AND WHO ARE PROTECTED BY LAWS WHICH AREN'T APPLIED TO THEIR VICTIMS.  I have spent almost a decade being dehumanized, demonized, isolated and violated, while the world's most powerful people act like there's nothing they can do or even participate in promoting this human rights disaster.

I also have noticed that Speaker Pelosi has more of a tendency than not to throw her younger, female colleagues to the madding crowd, and I have mentioned before that I think she does this for self preservation as a female in a male-dominated profession.  I'm not all that impressed.
