Testing a metaphor

Is there to be no equivalent to the exclusionary rule in the court of public opinion or, less metaphorically, at work?

Is how you obtain information going to be treated as if it is irrelevant if you can use that information for personal, political or financial gain?

If so, then every successive century of human life is going to be exponentially less dignified.
