President Putin hasn't needed much of a strategy since 2010, because the world's power structure was thrown into crisis by the conglomerate and that crisis isn't over. His strategy seems to be "Wait for the U.S. to screw up again and gain as much territory and as many allies or political hostages as possible while the Western world has a lot of angst for a few weeks and then forgets all about it."
President Trump, if you're going to let Turkey keep the portion of Syria that it has just taken over and if you're going to acquiesce to Mr. Assad remaining in power, then I HOPE YOU ARE MADE TO RESIGN IN THE DISGRACE THAT YOU DESERVE.
