It is not possible that the media is being fair to you or your administration. I'm sorry that you don't have the support you deserve when you try to take action toward stabilization and eventual freedom for the Middle East.
Since the U.S. is the bigger, stronger side, why don't you try talking to Iran again? You don't have to back down, so why don't you talk them down? You have nothing to lose; they can't win in military conflict, so why not be the one to invest in de-escalating tensions because it's gracious to try?

To say that assassination isn't my preference as a tool is an understatement. The first choice of every civilized person is capture and a trial or other process of accountability. However, that is difficult to do under the best conditions without endangering one's own people, and asymmetric warfare has spent decades reducing the concept to a noble, near-impossibility.
