The media should be doing more to make the public aware of the scale of Syrian suffering and the devastation wrought on Syria by its leader and those who support him.
Assad is worse than Hitler. Hitler wanted to glorify Germany. Assad only wants to glorify himself. He has decimated his country and turned millions of his people into refugees. No amount of restoration money is going to replace what he has destroyed, regardless of who supplies it or when or under what conditions it is distributed.
He doesn't care about Syrian culture or the fabric of Syrian society. He doesn't care about the disorientation and trauma of a Syrian generation that was born into or has grown up in this situation.
The term "humanitarian crisis" is misapplied to Syria. It implies that if you help, you're a humanitarian, and not that if you don't help you are enabling a genocidal maniac.
