Shouldn't they be trying to oust Mr. Assad so that the Syrians can live in Syria without being imprisoned, tortured and murdered at the whim of a dictator?
Also, why does Mr. Assad have allies? If he is re-established, their cooperation with him is going to be a permanent diplomatic and economic issue for them.
When is it decided that someone isn't worth the cost? How many innocent people does he have to kill? How many lives does he have to ruin? How much chaos does he have to cause?
