The way that Assemblyman Ortiz describes the Cooper incident is not accurate.
There are already false reporting laws.
I guess that time will tell, but I don't think this was a good idea.
I also think that it's bad that the bill is being reported and otherwise discussed online as if it's only about race. Did it pass in its entirety, with all of its provisions about types of discrimination? If so, then that's how it should be reported and otherwise discussed.
