I think that there might be some lack of understanding from some black organizers about how the country's systems fail everyone of every race other than the wealthy of every race. Are the failures worse for people of color than for white people? Systemically, yes; on an individual basis, not necessarily.
Being homeless is degrading for every homeless person. I suppose it might be difficult for white people who have never been verbally or psychologically abused by homeless shelter employees who are people of color to immediately understand my perspective. There are nice people who work in homeless shelters. There are far more who are not so nice, to anyone who is homeless and over whom they have what can be the power of life and death, particularly when the weather is cold and your options are to put up with being screamed at or to be put outside for the night.
Public schools all over the country need better funding.
