The Owen Labrie case shouldn't be in this context.  That high school was criminally negligent about "Senior Salute."  He was a scholarship student who was egged on and corrupted, while his wealthier classmates applauded him at the time and testified against him later without taking any responsibility.  The victim was also from a wealthy family; she was a blonde angel, a virgin, the perfect victim.  

I didn't excuse him when the trial was proceeding and I don't excuse him now, but that was a case in which privilege was an ignored factor.
