Neither mayors nor teachers should sleep with college students; Mayor Morse was both.
It may be that there were and are people who didn't want him in office because he is gay. That doesn't mitigate that he slept with college students, or that he had bad judgment in other situations.
Right now, the media trend is toward supporting him, so it could be that other errors of judgment aren't being investigated. He was too young to be a mayor. While Mayor, he made mistakes that ought not to be excused by the media so that he can be elected to higher office.
