Have the past several months been about stopping the criminal justice system from lying to get convictions, or haven't they?
Since when is New York City about getting into people's faces and expecting them to meekly take it? That is what Christian Cooper did to Amy Cooper, and he did it because she was a white woman by herself. He never would have done that to a man or to a couple.
How are people saying it now, "When you say the quiet part out loud?" That's what I'm doing.
The charges against Amy Cooper should be dropped, regardless of how embarrasing or inconvenient it is to admit at this stage how wrong it all has been.
No community is going to be healed by setting a precedent that motivates people to harass women so that they can film videos of their reactions and post them online as audition tapes for Saturday Night Live.
