_____________
I didn't know that you had just posted that.
I was just going to write about this Tweet:
_____________
The corruption of the medical system took over my life a few months before I turned 18. By the time that I was 30, I had worked as a pharmacy technician for a couple of years, starting off at $8.00/hour and advocating my way up to $11.25/hour. While working as a pharmacy technician, which is still the most prestigious job which I have ever had, I started to notice that very young children were being prescribed medication for ADHD, depression and other psychiatric drugs. Some notable incidents:
-a prescription blank with 3 psychiatric medications per day prescribed for a 7-year-old, literally morning, noon and night
-a father giving me a prescription blank with an ADHD medication (Schedule II drug), for his 6-year-old daughter. Every written blank has to have a birthdate; it didn't, so I asked him what his daughter's birthdate was. He took out his cell phone while standing at the counter and called the child's mother to ask what their daughter's birthdate was. How many other parents have been sold the idea that their children need addictive drugs because the children, not their parents, don't know how to pay attention?
I went to school part-time and worked full-time, and I wrote my final paper about why ADHD medication for children needs to be banned. That was in 2006.
The books that I took out from the library for research are some of the most depressing and terrifying books ever written about anything. One of them started with this quote:
___________
During my research, I read that toddlers are put on ADHD medication, which causes side effects, which are then treated with other medications, so that by the time that children are 10 they're on 5 medications. A lot of young adults now do not know what life is like without drugs.
I have no doubt that the pharmaceutical industry's fraud extends past the drugging of helpless children, and that billions of dollars are paid to that industry every year for medications that hurt people.
I don't appreciate Vice President Biden's attempt to conflate my objections to medical corruption with being irresponsible about Covid.
In short, there is no such thing as a "Karen."
There's irony in his immediate response to my being censored at Instagram, isn't there? Think of the millions of people who know me as Crazy Internet Lady.
