They're being held hostage by credit/debit card processors who are refusing to reactivate their accounts over unpaid fees incurred during Covid closure, preventing them from making sales unless the customers use cash or checks.
All fees have to be forgiven or at least not used to prevent account reactivation. How can the businesses pay the fess if they can't make money?
