This is not a bad bill.

It took my blogging about it for anyone in Congress to pay attention, didn't it?

Before a bill about homelessness is passed, there needs to be a major investigation of U.S. homeless shelters.  Otherwise you'll just be throwing money at a problem that is not only about money.

I think that the denial by Massachusetts Congresspeople about how bad things are is continuing to drive the idea that nothing is wrong other than lack of funding.  As I have written before, and as was easily searchable online before I had been blogging about it, the Pine Street Inn, before Covid, had a yearly operating budget of around $50 million and assets of $70 million.
