If the FBI hadn't refused to investigate before the confirmation, this victim might not be too afraid to talk about the incident.

Reporters asking her to go on record about a sitting Supreme Court Justice who has the full support of the President, the Attorney General, several members of Congress and the conservative media is even more terrifying than asking her about it before he was confirmed would have been.

Right after the confirmation, there were members of Congress who were talking about prosecuting the "false accusers."

He is so clearly guilty, and yet there he is, and there are his defenders.  

This woman has decided not to be a martyr.  It's understandable.
