This "Stop the privileged white woman before she destroys the world" hysteria is more nauseating hypocrisy from the media. Hyperprivileged people have abused the public for a decade, and so has the media, and so have a lot of powerful people and organizations.
The "Karen" frenzy is misogyny. It has nothing to do with the media caring about racial equality.
What about Vanessa Guillen? For at least two days, Google kept CBS' running tally of the tips being donated to a Starbucks barista at the top of its page of articles; Google thought that "Karen" story was more important than Ms. Guillen.
Google even thought the Starbucks story was more important than this:
The video shows the police officer tasing the pregnant woman's stomach. He reaches down and deliberately places the taser in the middle of her stomach. It is horrifying.
