I'm sure that it's all true.  The Tweets that you have additionally published with specific information are heartrending.

I don't want to think about what has happened to people in homeless shelters all over the country.  As I have said before, the women's shelter at the Pine Street Inn is a showpiece; nonhomeless people are even given tours of it, during the morning hours when almost all the homeless people have been made to leave, Monday through Saturday.  

I don't think that the public or powerful people are invited to tour places such as Kingston House.  Even when Kingston House and other shelters aren't crowded with wall-to-wall people, they are obviously cruel and miserable places that reinforce the idea that the next place their inhabitants will be is the morgue.
